  • Around this time two years ago my little cousin Romy was gearing up to play the biggest gig of her life - second from top billing on The Pyramid Stage at #glastonbury I cant imagine how terrifying that must have been for any artist let alone Romy and @thexx who have always been natural introverts. How the hell did she find the reserves of power and presence needed to step out on that stage and perform to almost 100,000 people? HOW THO 🤯?   • It took us a good two years to begin to sort through Billie’s clothes after she died. Partly because there were a lot of them - she was a makeup artist and always looked fabulous - and partly because opening up her wardrobe would mean opening ourselves up to all that grief again. We did it as a family, making an occasion of it with wine and dinner and as we went through each item we’d share stories about the times we remembered her wearing it. I nuzzled my face into her leather jacket and inhaled the sense of her - Silk Cut and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique. Still so alive in the lining. We all took something of her’s to keep. I wear this, her Rolling Stones T-shirt, in bed every night.
